| Description | La Cumbre Nueva constituye una zona volcánica de erupción reciente que se ubica en la isla de La Palma, al sur de El Paso, y forma parte de la dorsal volcánica que constituye el eje volcánico de la isla de norte a sur. Por dicha dorsal, que se mantiene durante muchos km sobre los 2000 m. de altura, pasa uno de los senderos naturales más interesantes de toda España. Aunque algunos pinos canarios crecieron espontáneamente después de la erupción de hace medio siglo, puede verse algunas áreas reforestadas. Autor: Fev. Enero 2000. |
