| Description |
English: Culture gap A drive along the Dock road should be a highlight for visitors to Liverpool in its 'European Capital of Culture Year - 2008'. But it's not possible. The lift bridge linking the Leeds & Liverpool Canal to the dock system was closed 'for a year' in May 2008. Having been, and looked, neglected for years, the owners, Peel Holdings, have discovered corroded steelwork. No work appears to be in progress at present. |
