English: 01. Silver hoard (in Norwegian: sølvskatt) found in 1844 at Teisen Farm in Oslo, Norway: seven arm rings (probably made from melted down coins), one ingot, many pieces of hack-silver, 16 whole and many pieces of Arabian and Persian (Kufic) coins. The newest of the silver coins was struck in AD 919.
Photo taken on February 26th, 2020 at the VÍKINGR – Viking Age exhibition in the Museum of Cultural History of the University of Oslo (UiO Kulturhistorisk Museum) in Oslo, Norway, showing some of the most exquisite objects the museum has from the Norwegian Viking Age.
