Description
Español: En Madrid por la carretera M-204 en dirección a Tielmes se encuentra el llamado Risco de las Cuevas de origen prehistórico, llamado de "los Dolomitas" mineral parecido a la calcita" transparente o traslúcido y formado por carbonato cálcico y magnésico o lo que es lo mismo yeso

Se cree que fueron excavadas en el Neolítico como habitáculo, aunque en el entorno se han hallado numerosos restos arqueológicos de distintas culturas

Algunas de estas cuevas estaban en comunicación Se catalogaron un total de 50, su exploración empezó hacia 1891 El paso del tiempo han ido produciendo diversos desprendimientos por las grietas llamadas diaclasas, que en inviernos con años de mucho hielo, hacen de cuña en las mismas, como consecuencia de helarse el agua de lluvia, o del mismo roció.

A día de hoy, puede que no lleguen a 30 las cuevas existentes, con perdida de gran parte de su superficie en muchas de ellas. Fueron declaradas de interés turístico nacional en tiempos de la Republica. Pero en la actualidad están abandonadas y mal conservadas.
