Geologist Coralie Wilhite, of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District, gave Cub Scout Pack 465 a geology lesson, including a field trip to the Folsom Lake Dike 7, to help them earn a merit badge. The spillway project is a joint effort of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, and state and local partners to reduce flood risk throughout the Sacramento region.
