[edit]DescriptionCrystalline gold, Mockingbird mine, Mariposa County, California (49016973742).jpg |
An outstanding example of specimen gold, from a mine famous for producing world-class gold crystals. Original photo by Rob Lavinsky, who donated a large set of mineral photos to Wikipedia a few years back. I was one of the volunteers who sorted & organized his donation. I don't know what became of this specimen. Size: 2.9 x 1.4 x 0.6 cm |
