Español: Blasón de la fuente de la Cruz de Lagunillas, en la plaza de la Victoria, Málaga, España. Se trata de una fuente-abrevadero de hierro fundido y forjado. En el blasón situado a media altura figura la siguiente inscripción: «Construida a expensas / de la / Sociedad Propagandista / del / Clima y Embellecimiento / de / Málaga / y de la / Liga Protectora de Animales y Plantas / 1899». La fuente fue realizada en la fundición Heredia y ubicada inicialmente en la plaza de Uncibay para servir de abrevadero a las cabras que suministraban leche a domicilio por las calles céntricas de la ciudad. Fue trasladada a su emplazamiento actual en 1937 y, posteriormente, se le colocó en su remate una cruz de forja calada y los cuatro faroles que la alumbran. Está compuesta por una taza circular sostenida por gruesas patas con pezuñas, rematadas por volutas en su parte superior, y un vástago central con cuatro surtidores que, originalmente, eran cabezas de perros. Sobre este cuerpo se eleva un balaustre con la cartela y la inscripción, y por encima una columna estriada con capitel corintio, a la que se añadieron como remate la cruz y los cuatro faroles.[1] |
