Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Crumbling cliff near Cowbar. Winter storms brought the cliff edge so close to the road that a new route has been created a few metres inland.

The road leads to the tiny coastal village of Cowbar adjoining Staithes, North Yorkshire.

The cliffs here are easily eroded as they consist mainly of boulder clay and layers of rather soft shale.
