Description
English: Crozier head. Chased and gilt copper with garnets and coloured glass cabochons, France, late 12th–early 13th century. From the Clairvaux abbey, 1819.
Français : Crosseron. Cuivre ciselé et doré, grenats et cabochons de verre coloré, France, fin du XIIe-début du XIIIe siècle. Provenance : abbaye de Clairvaux, 1819.


Proviendrait de la tombe de Guillaume de Joinville (mort en 1226), archevêque de Reims inhumé à Clairvaux, selon Veyssiere Laurent. La tombe découverte à l’abbaye de Clairvaux en 1820 est-elle celle de Guillaume de Joinville, archevêque de Reims († 1226) ?, In: Bibliothèque de l'école des chartes. 2006, tome 164, livraison 1. pp. 5-41.
