Description
English: Crowland Abbey - from the south west Crowland Abbey was founded in 716 and has survived as a place of worship through sacking by the Danes in the 9th century, disastrous fires in the 11th and 12th centuries, various rebuildings by ambitious abbots, the Dissolution of the Monasteries, reformation and Civil War. The north aisle of the abbey church is now the parish church of Our Lady, St.Bartholomew and St.Guthlac http://croylandabbey.co.uk/
