English: Crossing the Cuckmere I Looking up the river from its mouth at low tide revealing the extent of shingle and the difficulties the river has pushing through it to enter the sea. Consequently, the river is very shallow here and easily fordable at low tide. The number of people on the beach give an indication of the popularity of this spot.
