| Description |
English: Crossing over the Tywi, north of Llyn Brianne. The famous scenic mountain road linking Tregaron with Abergwesyn crosses the Afon Tywi here. The track to the left past the bridge is a bridleway, and leads to Dolgoch Youth Hostel (sold by the YHA but still operating as usual), though the rough pot-holed surface changes to a non vehicular trail beyond the hostel, muddy and tussocky in places near the river. This side of the river is in Powys; the other is in Ceredigion.
Note added May 10 2010: The bridge was replaced with a stronger one during late 2009. 1849810 |
