English: Romano-British fragment of copper alloy Crossbow brooch, separate cross-arm only, triangular in plan with broken perforation for missing bow at central apex (depth 10mm), flanked by V-shaped grooves and integral collared conical knob at both terminals, deep pin-notch on back, 51 x 5mm. Cf. Swift’s (2000) Type 3/4, fig.38. 4th century.
