Summary
[edit]DescriptionCrossbedding in Namurian Sandstone Fragment - geograph.org.uk - 197152.jpg |
English: Crossbedding in Namurian Sandstone Fragment. The cross bedding is just about visible in this fragment of Namurian Sandstone found in Black Coppice Quarry. If still in place in the rock face this would give a clue to the direction of flow of the river that produced the river dunes where these rocks were initially deposited 320 million years ago. |
