English: Certificate with an image of a farmer on the left next to a flag with the names of battles on it and an image of a soldier next to a cannon and a flag with the names of battles on it. Certificate reads: "CROCKERS IOWA BRIGADE 3D BRIGADE 4TH DIVISION 17TH CORPS. ARMY OF THE TENNESSEE ORGANIZED APRIL 27, 1862 This is to Certify that Balthaser Knoepfel 1st Sergt. Of Co. F 16th Regt. Iowa Infantry is a member of Crockers Iowa Brigade Army of the Tennessee instituted for the purpose of perpetuating its history and preserving the cordial and social feeling which was ever one of its chief characteristics. In Witness whereof the President and Secretary of the Society have hereunto set their hands and affixed the Seal of the Society this 4 day of June A. D. 1884 H. H. Rood Wm. W. Bellnap (?)"
