Description
English: Crkva Svetog Jovana Preteče u Novom Bečeju je podignuta početkom 19. veka. Crkva posvećena Svetom Jovanu Preteči je podignuta 1807. godine u tadašnjem naselju Vranjevu, a koje je danas sastavni deo Novog Bečeja. Predstavlja jednobrodnu građevinu sa spolja petougaonom apsidom i plitkim pevnicama kojima je 1859. godine dodata priprata nad kojom se uzdiže zvonik, kada je po pretpostavci urađena i fasadna dekoracija celog hrama. Između sokla i potkrovnog venca na kojem se smenjuju triglifi i osmolisni cvetni ornament, naizmenično su postavljeni pilastri profilisanih stopa i kapitela, odnosno stepenasto uvučene arkade. Centralni rizalit trodelne zapadne fasade blago je izbačen van ravni zida.
