English: Crewe Station recently electrified, south end with Euston - Liverpool express. View southward, from Platform 2 across to No. 3, at which a Relief Euston - Liverpool express is arriving, behind rebuilt 'Royal Scot' 7P 4-6-0 No. 46136 'The Border Regiment' (built 10/27 as 'Vesta', renamed 5/36, rebuilt 5/50, withdrawn 4/64). All the wires were put up for the electrification to Manchester, which commenced in 9/60. |
