Description
English: Creswell Crags Creswell Crags and Caves, occupied around 43,000 BC then in a period between 30,000 and 28,000 BC and then again around 10,000 BC. To the left in the distance is the Church Hole Cave, where engravings and bas-reliefs were found on the walls and ceilings, the most northerly cave art finds in Europe. Other early art found in caves in this valley includes a horse head-engraved bone found in Robin Hood's Cave, and a bone engraved with a human figure, recovered from the Pin Hole Cave.
