Description
English: The base’s new E85 ethanol pumps provide alternative fuel for flex fuel vehicles such as the Chevrolet HHR sport utility vehicle at the base fueling station on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Nov. 18, 2010. The E85 station is the first, fully operational one in the State of Hawaii for both military and civilian installations alike, said Larry Adams, director of sales and marketing, Aloha Petroleum. Its use supports Headquarters Marine Corps-mandated gasoline reduction goals and MCB Hawaii’s goal of reducing fossil fuel consumption 10 percent by next summer.
