Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Craigenlow Quarry: Xenolith The pale patch is a xenolith - a piece of one type of rock embedded in another type. In this case it is a boulder of pink Crathes Granodiorite caught up in a dyke of microdiorite, which is much finer-grained and contains more dark minerals. The hand lens is for scale.
