English: Cow Gill and the road to Cowgill Reservoirs After ascending Culter Water and bearing right at Birthwood, you are led up this lovely quiet valley. Cow Gill (the burn or stream) runs in a pronounced flat-bottomed gully. The top of Knowe Dod is shrouded in mist.
