English: Coventry from the air The city centre and ring road are visible at the bottom, with a large brownfield site on the right. The Ricoh Stadium is prominent to the top left.
Viewed from a Brussels bound flight from Prestwick. The large brownfield site on the right was the Peugeot (and previously Chrysler/Rootes/Humber) works which were demolished recently. The conspicuous white warehouse-type buildings just to the right of this are the Seven Stars Industrial Estate. The railway station is on the very edge of the photo. The large collection of industrial buildings in the top left of the photo is the Bayton Road Industrial Estate, Bedworth. The buildings on the very top right of the photo are at the Rolls-Royce Ansty site. Just to the left of this is the M6/M69 junction. The Ricoh Stadium is also visible towards the top left. |
