| Description |
English: Course of former canal. The old Newport and Shrewsbury Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal has been largely filled in and reverted to agriculture.
The former lock keeper's cottage at the end of the Newport Flight is now in fields just around the corner of the hedge which marks the former towpath side of the canal. |
