In addition to these scholarships there are others in theadvanced schools of the Department of Education available forgraduates of the Preparatory School. Each year graduates of thePrejiaratory School are granted free tuition for one year in theEvening Law School, the School of Commerce & Finance, thePolytechnic School, or the Co-Operative Engineering School.The value of these scholarships varies from $50. to $125. These are awarded to graduates who have pursued in thisschool ten of the fifteen units required for graduation and havemaintained a ranking of at least five As and five Bs. A furthercondition is that the student must enter the advanced schoolfree of conditions. Lectures Many of the numerous lectures offered by the Associationare available to members, free of charge. Clubs A large number of clubs are organized and conducted bythe various departments, the most important of which are asfollows: Congress The congress is organized similar to the National body.Anj^one may become a member, by adhering to the rules of theorganization, and by naming the state he will represent. Membersintroduce bills and participate in the debates and discussions.In this way experience in public speaking is gained. We recom-mend that those who wish training in public address and inparliamentary practice join the congress. Current Events Club Those who are not interested in the Congress may be in-terested in joining the Current Events Club. The name in-dicates the character of the club.
