The work of all the Association schools is absolutely non-sectarian and am^ man of good character, regardless of hisfinancial or social standing or creed, is admitted on an equalfooting. No evening Law School could work under betterconditions and none has achieved a more en\aable reputation. Close investigation is imated by all those interested in thestudy of law and every opportunity will be afforded to inspectthoroughly the school, its methods, courses of study, pastexamination papers, Usts of graduates and th^ir present occu-pations. A recent questionnaire sent to our alumni following the ideaof the one issued by the Harvard Law School has shown amost gratifying advance made by our graduates in the pro-fession, business and poKtical life of the country and many ofthe men have become prominent and extremely useful. 10

Historical Review The Association Law School was established in 1898 in re-sponse to a demand for a school, which should be sothorough in its work and conducted on such a high plane thatits graduates would stand well at the Bar and be recognizedas men of professional attaimnent and ethical standards. Every effort has been made to establish and maintainhigh standards of entrance and graduation. A four yearscourse was announced at the outset in order that those desiringa short cut to the Bar might be deterred from entering. Studentshave been able, after tw^o years of study, to pass the Bar exami-nations, but no official reference has ever been made to thisfact, and the men have been prohibited from attempting anysuch intensified and necessarily superficial procedure. The student body consists of men of ability who devotethemselves to their work with marked fidehty, and upongraduation pass the Bar examinations successfully and enterpractice.
