| Description |
English: County School Signal Box, near to North Elmham, Norfolk, Great Britain.
The signal box top was originally from another GER station at Halesworth on the East Suffolk line. <a href="https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1384659">TM3877 : Along the tracks at Halesworth Railway Station</a> it stood on the left. The structure was preserved along with a signal in the local school yard for many years before being donated to the trust who are restoring it to look like the original County School box. It has unfortunately lost the wooden bottom but then again this is a new site. The new brick base is resembling a bricked up war time base. The windows of the mechanism room being blocked off to protect the mechanism from bomb attacks. |
