| Description |
English: Coulags Croft in snow A C19th former croft house. Rough grazing land in foreground - bracken, sedges, heather and mosses depending on micro topography. Coulags had over 20 houses in the C19th. These dwellings would have been two roomed single storey thatched houses with upper walls made of turf. The ruins of the houses can be seen on the flatter "benches" on Cnoc nan Each.
The land use has evolved leisure, walking more than stalking some grazing. |
