to the servants bedroom starts here. The ash-pit and privy are in the outbuildings. DESIGN FOR A COTTAGE. The height of the Ground Floor in the main part of the cottage is 11 feet, inthe kitchen wing 9 feet 6 inches. BEDROOM PLAN.—On the Bedroom Floor there are five good bedrooms (exclu-sive of the servants over the scullery), a bathroom and water-closet, and a small lumbercloset. The two front bedrooms are 17 feet long by 14 feet wide; the two back are 17feet by 12 feet; and that over the kitchen is 16 feet 6 inches by 14 feet. The height of the four main bedrooms is 11 feet; the height of the one in backwing is 9 feet. Plates \ — \ shew the Front Elevation, and the Section cut on the line A—B. TheSection shews the dining room, bedroom, kitchen door from court, and the scullery onthe Ground Floor, and the respective bedrooms over. Plates \ — \ contain the Plan of the Roof, and the Details of the ornamental features.The Details are drawn to the scale of half inch to one foot.
