Ecfrastica:Questo dipinto, di stampo romantico, raffigura il paesaggio ottocentesco della città di Bergamo preso da un punto particolarmente pittoresco in prossimità del torrente Morla: l'allora Via Baioni e oggi Via Nazario Sauro. In primo piano si vedono due lavandaie presso la cascata del suddetto corso d'acqua. Sullo sfondo, nella parte superiore, è riprodotto il profilo di Città alta: a destra il Baluardo di Sant'Agostino con il relativo complesso monastico. Da notare come era strutturato il ponte antistante alla Porta Sant'Agostino nel 1830 circa.
