| Description |
English: Cosmeston Lakes - information point The lake and country park has been created from old limestone quarry workings. As well as peaceful walks and the opportunity for some nature/bird watching there is an information centre and cafe. Board walks, with occasional information boards, take walkers through the reed beds on the south east side and there is park land to the north. Although the water might appear inviting in hot summers, the lakes are extremely dangerous being deep and having many underwater obstructions. Swimming, unless being waterfowl or fish,is actively prevented. |
