Deutsch: Vorderseite: MAGNVS COSMVS - MEDICES P P P. Brustbild des Cosimo de Medici mit einem flachen Hut und einfachem Gewand nach links.

Rückseite: PAX LIBERTAS Q-VE PVBLICA // FLORENTIA. Florentia sitzt auf einem Stuhl (sella curulis) in einem langen Gewand nach links. Sie hält einen Olivenzweig in der linken Hand und eine Kugel auf der ausgestreckten rechten Hand.

Kommentar: Gussmedaille. - Cosimo de Medici (1389-1464), auch Cosimo il Vecchio (der Alte) genannt, gilt als der eigentlicher Begründer des späteren Einflusses der Familie Medici. - Das Medaillenbild entspricht dem Marmorporträt von Andrea del Verrocchio (um 1464), heute im Berliner Bode-Museum. - Diese Medaille entstand im Jahr der Titelverleihung (P P P = Primus Pater Patriae) 1465 oder bald darauf, spätestens 1469, dem Todesjahr Piero de' Medicis, für den die Medaille in einer Miniatur kopiert wurde.
