Description
Magyar: Agathias: De bello Gothorum

1483-1484 körül. Nápoly, Pergamen.

Beatrix királyné könyvtárának darabja, a királyné címerével és portréjával. Agathias (+582 k.) bizánci költő és történetíró munkája a gót háború 552 és 558 közötti eseményeit dolgozza fel. A mű fordítója, Christoforo Persona itáliai humanista több példányt készíttetett a műből, amelyek közül egyet Mátyásnak, egyet Beatrixnak ajánlott. Beatrix könyvtárából kilenc kódex marad fenn, vagy az Aragon-címerrel, vagy - mint ez a kötet - a királyné egyesített magyar-aragóniai címerével. A nemzeti könyvtár Farkas Lajos gyűjtő hagyatékából vásárolta meg 1873-ban.
