| Description |
English: Corner of Westgate Road and Collingwood Street. Westgate Road bends round to the right with Bolbec Hall and the Literary and Philosophical Society buildings on the extreme right 1691787. On the corner of the main roads in the centre of the photo is the Sun Insurance Company Building from the early 1900s. There is a large sun in the semi-circular roof arch. The huge building to its left, extending down Collingwood Street 1691813 and left along Pudding Chare, are the Collingwood Buildings, built as an arcade of shops, hotel and offices in 1899. The arcade became a banking hall in 1903 and is now Revolution, a vodka bar. |
