Description
Nederlands: Beschrijving Allegorische voorstellingen als monument voor de Doopsgezinden en Menno Simonsz, in de vorm van een classicistisch tempeltje met een gesloten halfronde achterwand en een grote opening aan de voorzijde

Geflankeerd door Corintische zuilen, ten dele overwelfd en geplaatst in een bosachtige omgeving met hoog opgaand geboomte. Tegen de zuilen links en rechts ovale, ingelijste voorstellingen van doopsgezinde bijeenkomsten in de 16e en de 18e eeuw. Rechts: interieur van de kerk "Bij 't Lam". Centraal op de achterwand een bijeenkomst in de kerk Bij 't Lam, links en rechts geflankeerd door bijbelse voorstellingen. Daarboven doorzicht op een wolkenlucht, waarvoor een portretmedaillon van Menno Simonsz. door putti wordt opgehouden. Techniek: ets en gravure.
