Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Corn Cockle, Torre churchyard A wildflower meadow has been planted in the western part of the churchyard, and former weeds of arable land are prominent - this is Corn cockle, Agrostemma githago, now rather unusual in the wild. As it is poisonous, it is perhaps as well that wheat seed no longer routinely contains corn cockle seed, which was "very likely ... until the 20th century". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corncockle
