English: Bereits im 5. Jahrtausend vor Christus baute man in Südosteuropa Kupfererze ab. lm Alpenraum und den angrenzenden Gebieten entwickelte sich daraufhin in der ersten Hälfte des 4. Jahrtausends vor Christus eine eigenständige Metallurgie, die durch Erzabbau in den Ostalpen gespeist wurde. Beile wie diese vom Goldberg im Nördlinger Ries, Dolche, Pfrieme und Ringperlen sind die häufigsten Produkte - selten, kostbar und prestigeträchtig.
In Südwestdeutschland wurde zwar kein Kupfer bergmännisch gewonnen, das von außen bezogene Metall jedoch gegossen und weiter verarbeitet. Hiervon zeugt auch der Gusstiegel aus der Seeufersiedlung vom Schreckensee, der um 3.600 vor Christus in Gebrauch war. Der Gußtiegel und die Beilklingen sind in der Schausammlung"LegendäreMeisterWerke"im Alten Schloss ausgestellt. |
