Title |
Copper alloy styca from the Early Medieval period, derivative issue |
||
Description |
English: Copper alloy styca from the Early Medieval period.
It appears to be a derivative issue as it is mis-shapen and of poor metal. It is almost square shaped and most of the legend is not on the coin. These generally date to the mid-ninth century and have blundered obverse/reverse legends. This is possibly a derivative issue copying the coins of Redwulf (c. 844) |
