Title
Copper alloy object
Description
English: A copper alloy object in the shape of a bird's head. It is difficult to ascribe a date to the object, although it is possible that it is Roman. The object consists of a circular section curved rod, which expands to form a bird's head with beak. An eye is picked out as a dot. Extending from the back of the rod is an oval suspension loop with circular perforation. The bottom 5mm of the rod are worn, rough and is slightly narrower, perhap suggesting that this area had been inserted into something. The object measures 22m in length and 16mm in width.
