Title
copper alloy mount
Description
English: Copper alloy circular, domed, hollow backed, mount. Approximate diameter of central perforation is 16mm. The central perforation is made up of what appears to be a separate piece of formed copper alloy inserted into the outer body, and defined by a concentric groove. The purpose of the object is unclear. It may be an incomplete Post Medieval (dating to between c1550 and c1850 AD) horse boss, similar to CORN-887597, PUBLIC-5D86D4, PUBLIC-5E3C77, and YORYM-023666. It may also be an element of a post medieval door handle or knob with a date of c1650 to c1900 AD.

The diameter is 37mm, thickness 7mm, and the weight 14.15g.
