Copper alloy looped phallic pendant
Description
English: A copper alloy phallic pendant, dating to the Roman period. The pendant has a circular section suspension loop with circular perforation. It measures 33mm in length and has a maximum width of 12mm. Such pendants are common thoughout the Roman world. Close parallels can be made with two examples from South Shields Roman fort (Allason-Jones and Miket, 1984, 3.586 and 3.587)
