Copper alloy horse and rider brooch
Description
English: A Roman copper-alloy Horse and Rider brooch. The hair of the rider, mane and tail of the horse are represented by linear incisions. There are two cells for enamel on the body of the horse and two on the body of the rider, the latter still contain traces of ?red enamel. The eye of the horse and rider are represented by applied globules of metal. On the reverse there is a single lug to hold the pin, which is missing.
