Title |
Copper alloy figurine in shape of animal |
||
Description |
English: A copper alloy, cast, zoomorphic figurine, possibly medieval in date. The figurine depicts an animal looking back on itself. The figurine has an oval section body. Its front legs consist of one triangular tapering extension, with a small notch taken out of the apex. The back legs are individually rendered as circular section extensions. A ribbed moulding, representing a tail, runs along the back of the figurine. The cast head of the animal is corroded. The figurine measures 14mm in height, 25mm in width and a maximum of 13mm in thickness. |
