Title
copper alloy even armed cross
Description
English: Medieval copper alloy even armed cross, probably a book or strap/belt mount. There is a spike, turned slightly off the plane of the main body of the cross, at the end of one arm. Near the end of the arm opposite, a hole has been drilled, probably at a later date. It is likely to be for either a rivet or similar aid to mount the cross, or for its use as a pendant. No exact parallel found but based on style and construction it may date between c1200 and c1400 AD. The artefact has some corrosion.

The length is 31mm, the width 27mm, and the weight is 3.38g.
