Description
English: Cast copper alloy dolphin brooch dating from c. 75- 175 AD. It is a sprung type but the spring and pin are missing. The wing case is semi-cylindrical in shape. At the top of the bow is a small hook which would have held the spring in place. The bow is slightly humped at the top. It narrows gradually down towards the foot where it ends in a rounded point.
