Copper alloy Asymmetrical Buckle
Description
English: A Post Medieval copper alloy cast buckle dating from c.1575-1700. The buckle is an asymmetrical double loop; one loop has angular corners while the other has rounded corners. The rounded loop has an angular knop on the interior arm. There is a pin notch on in the centere of the angular loop. The strap bar is narrowed and in set. The reverse of the buckle is plain. The buckle is 38.5mm long, 28.6mm wide, 3.2mm thick and weighs 6.4g.
