Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A look inside of the combined combustion chamber and fuel compartment (polyurethane) for the half-length (4 m) version of the HEAT booster (Hybrid Exo Atmospheric Transporter). The picture is taken after a 15 second burn. The polyurethane was cast in a wagon wheel shape. The half-length HEAT is expected to launch a crash test dummy to 40 km altitude in August 2010. The full-length HEAT should be able to send one person up in space in a parabolic flight.
