HISTORY THIS YEAR our history page takes the form of a photograph of the office force of Cope & Stewardson at 320 Walnut Street, taken about the Year 1899. A majority of those present are now active in architectural practice in Philadelphia. Reading from left to right, the names are as follows: Alfred Morton Githens (now in New York), Wm. Charles Hays (now in San Francisco), Walter Cope (Deceased), John A. MacMahon, James O. Betelle (now in Newark, N. J.), Emlyn Stewardson, S. A. Cloud, Wetherill P. Trout, Herbert C. Wise, James P. Jamieson, Eugene S. Powers, E. Perot Bissell, Miss Louise Stavely, Charles H. Bauer (now in Newark, N. J.), Wm. Woodburn Potter, John Molitor, Camillo Porecca (Deceased), the Office Boy (name unknown), C. Wharton Churchman.
