| Description |
English: Coole Lane Bridge near Audlem, Cheshire. Bridge No 82 on the Shropshire Union Canal carries Coole Lane, which is more than five miles long between Nantwich and Brown's Bank, near Audlem. The drab appearance of the old brick bridges on this part of the canal is a result of the stupid decision of some fool a few years back to paint all the bridges white. It looked silly then, and it looks dreary now. What on earth is wrong with naturally weathered old bricks? |
