Description
English: Cook Street Brewery A noble landmark on the Salford skyline, the former Cook Street Brewery, grade II listed buildings survive as a residential conversion. Dated 1896, designed by WA Deighton for Threlfall's Brewery Company Ltd. Built of red brick with Welsh slate roofs and including a fine brick tower with lettering at high level 'THRELFALL'S BREWERY COMPY LD COOK ST. BREWERY'. Acquired by Whitbread in 1967, brewing ceased 1988.
