Description
English: Unveiling of the Captain Cook statue in Victoria Square by the Governor-General. Sculpted by William Trethewey (1892-1956), the statue was donated to the city by a local businessman, Matthew Frank Barnett, and unveiled by the Governor-General, Viscount Bledisloe (1867-1958).
